If you want to leave GitHub due to their recent bad behavior but still need a presence there, you can absolutely do that.

What FOSS developers provide them is credibility. If you move your cool projects elsewhere and mirror them to Github with a pointer to the real repo, the message is clear: you're only on Github because you have to be.

Boycotting $BIG_COMPANY 95% of the time is almost as effective as boycotting it 100% of the time; this isn't an all-or-nothing deal.

And this one again with hidden CW. Seems a recurrent issue in Tootle posts and this issue is only showed there.

Seems that I had to re-make this post from scratch because Tootle detected it with an empty cw when there was not anything.

By now seems to be working well.

I am testing Tootle 1.0.0 Alpha currently. It seems the character limit is hardcoded for the platform.

The dark theme is not applied too and doesn't respect the visibility preference set in the account ^^;

We want GNOME to be usable for everyone! In this post, Matthias dives into accessibility implementations throughout GTK (the foundational framework for GNOME UI), and updates coming with GTK4.

Youtube-dl getting taken down is bad, and a zillion mirrors instantly springing up is good and necessary, but how about:

-> stop using youtube
-> stop using github
-> stop giving money to RIAA members

delivery time and communication (negativity)

i had to waste more time but the teacher replied and gave me an extra hour... i was even punished for that...

it is painful because i even sent the task in hour by email when I took into account the teacher was not available and I had taken into account the issue

delivery time and communication (negativity)

Well, I cannot wait for this specific teacher to re-open again and upload it.

I have a queue of tasks of other subjects with deadline today night and I even didn't have launch...

delivery time and communication (negativity)

Some teachers seem to not understand that for requiring a student re-upload a task which was sent wrong, and which they notified to that possibility, using communication at distance requires 100% avaiability in both sides.

If there is a dealine, you send the message when you have the issue uploading and they replied in the end of the last class, just when you are already leaving after shuting down the computer and now you need to drive far to your home where the arriving time is very near to the dealine being impossible to re-upload the task at time...

Well, I missed an issue: repo.palemoon.org/MCP/UXP/issu

So the suggestion is a polyfill to implement faulty support ;-;

These days Goanna started to have issues with GitHub suddenly but I didn't see any issue reported in UXP repository.

The issue was completely reproducible so I think which was a reason to move. However, I would have prefered if Goanna integrated more features as Web Engine. There are some of the aproved standards not yet there.

So it seems MoonChild Productions moved their development from Github to Gitea own instance.

openvas/gvm task (negativity and violence)

Lets compensate the reader with the picture of the propietary software with its extensions still being installed in the virtual machine.

I feel embarrased when I don't have enough time to check the code. If you saw how many logic errors I use to have sometimes...

So I put a while loop inverted. Basically I put the condition to maintain it as if was to leave it, it had a double condition I even didnt connect with && using || by error and every case inside a switch also inside the loop had a conditional error in a string comparing because I tried to use equals function in the begining and was not allowed so I changed to use == but maintained ! in the begining when should be !=.

oof. I hope no-one has to see that if I finish studies and get a job some day.

openvas/gvm task (negativity and violence)

There is a little issue here. The task was not fixed in that day but for that day the week before or similar. It was also not the friday but the wednesday or thursday.

openvas/gvm task (negativity and violence)

Well, it seems I filled this thread with ortographical and grammatical issues ;-;

I think that Debian should have some bounties if this case was because of "maintenance lacking" for attracting maintainers to priorize certain tasks. I would agree to participate on them giving money for it.

I also think that I don't like the Debian bug tracker system. I don't see real progress of the things in most cases I must check their repository manually. It is simply hard. And I recognize I always forget how to make a report so I finish using mailing lists for community support. I am very clueless in this at all.

openvas/gvm task (negativity and violence)

I broke my mind thinking on the lost time and bad proposal...

It was 20:05, so the only thing to do was to install Nessus.

Their bloated webpage broke the navigation and It took 20 minutes to download and install Nessus package for Debian. I even had to give data for it and email address for activation code.

10 minutes more to start the real configuration downloading vulnerability extensions and... now 22:12 Nessus is still downloading them.

I lost all the time and I could not deliver the task.

I would like to think that the fault is from Greenbone or Debian package maintainers but the fault was mine from the begining for not checking and testing the things before even doing a proposal.

However, that still doesn't satisfy me at all. I could think that if "Greenbone respect Debian stable policies would be different" but they are not forced to do it as far I know and that "Debian package maintainers should not be there if they are not going to take responsibility" but in first place Debian is delivered without warranty and they are mostly volunteers even if they take the responsibility for making maintenance and also I didn't check the state of the issues around these conflicts at all as I could not find info in general searchs.
